Villager skill dispersion

Postby NateTheGreatt » Fri May 28, 2010 11:55 pm

So five friends and I have this village set up on this nice little grassland. We're currently setting up farms and working towards domestication. My question is, how should we spread the jobs? Should we all be Renaissance men? Or should we each specify in certain areas? If so: what should those areas be?

For the sake of grinding LP, everyone should have farming or marksmanship (for hunting). If you can get a hold of swords, melee combat for self-defense (and hunting. Swords are GOD-AWESOME for hunting.)

You want a designated farmer to do crops and trees. You want a good carpenter. If you have access to metal, you want a good smith. Someone with fair sewing is optional, though it'll help to not kill your leather armor quality (Dexterity is also much easier to get now). Whoever likes hunting should invest in survival to get better quality loot from skinning/butchering (And besides that, everyone should have 10 survival to not butcher the default plant quality).
