I can't lay stone

I need to lay stone because I was going to build a house and I have teh lay stone ability and 8 stones, but it isn't letting me lay any stone.

Plow the ground first, you'll need carpentry to build wooden plow.

don't you need planks to build a plow?
I don't have a saw and I can't catch a rabbit.

You'll need Hunting and an empty 2x2 space for the rabbit in your inventory. First step near him (Don't click him) Just get as close as possible to the point where you're literally on top of him, if your guy tries to move he can't. Then right(?) click the rabbit to catch him, snap his neck, butcher him, and obtain said bone.

Well you can chop trees, cant you? if you cant, learn that, 4 trees= 1 new skill

You need hunting to catch rabbits ( left click them ( you walk close ), left click them again, be sure youre _really_ close, right click them, make sure you have 2x2 spaces free inventory ), and you will need more stones, you should at least pave a 5x5 square for a logcabin.

maybe you have grassland near you. you can try to catch chickens then. they are in a flock and not as fast as rabbits.
just do it as datone said:
go next to him (leftclick on the rabbit)
-maybe click on the fastest speed you have as option- (so you'll might catch it if you were not close enough)
catch it using the RIGHTclick

in inventory: wring neck, butcher (both rightclick)

edit: datone, best you write all togher and we delete our posts then?

I know how to catch rabbits and I have the hunting skill.
its a new character though, so I can't cut down trees yet.
