The incredible non-smokable pipe

I've put the cured hemp bud in my pipe but the "light" option is not available. It just says "empty", and when I empty it, I lose the damn bud. Am I supposed to have more than one in there? Tell me, what is the secret knowledge I must possess in order to smoke my pipe?

when you want to smoke it, do you have it equipped where you would a necklace/glasses? It must be equipped for you to smoke it.
