I was killed. Can I restart near my home?

Postby Sollar » Wed Jun 02, 2010 5:02 pm

Ok ... found this game, loved it, played like crazy for about 1 week. All peacefull and change to gain LP faster, got a nice little house and some crops, and there comes a character with a sword, helmet and stuff and kills me. Dead for good. I know that this game has permadeath, but even if murdered ? I mean it's not my fault at all. Just got 3 hits and that's all ? Is there any way to start at least near my house to restart work ?

in the character creation room when you make a new character, right click the runestone and press "inherit" to gain 25% of your stats/LP. then go up the ladder and you'll be at your ancestor's hearthfire.

logging of just helps until he aggros.
so if he already did a combatmove it begins battle (you can see it in your menu: messages, area chat, crafting, COMBAT)
if you then try to log out your hearthling just stays where it is and can be killed even more easily...

Edit: i just keep on wondering why a swordsman kills a bloddy noob. sollar, did you chop plenty of trees just for gaining learning points?

If you have been playing for a week only and it took him 3 shots to kill you, he is a noob too. If you really did nothing wrong, and this guy just killed you for lulz, why not ask if someone will come over and collect the murder scents and kill this noob-killer?

Well if someone wants to bother, i don't know exactly how to point to my location, but i'm close to a city called Ravenholm. So if there is a hunter close by pls tell me to be more specific about this.

hm, that should be a developed city. they even have a thread about searching for new villagers.

i think best is to pm the creator of that post and ask im for help

edit: ravenholm has had a tyrant chieftain. probably that was your murderer. as they seem to be friedly communists now, you may as well just walk over to the village and try to talk to someone there via area-chat

Future reference although i'm sure you read it somewhere is that full tradition when you die you'll get 100% of your stats back. I think it's best to keep it that way perhaps until you build up combat skills. It might take longer but at least this way you won't really have to be too worried about being killed.

yeah of course -.-
and how should he gain all the learningpoints needed for the fithigskills?! ever though about that?!
he will only become 1/3 of the learningpoints, and is only able to change one attittude-point all 3(!!!!) days
thats bullshit!

and by the way: use your brain (and maybe the wiki) before you write!
even with full tradition, you will lose 25% of your learningpoints
