Inkweed and Grassland

Since moving to the outskirts of the known world, I haven't found a single inkweed on the vast nearby grassland. Finally getting around to mapping the area, I immediately found several on the smaller heath across the river.

Has anyone else found grassland inkweed extinct? It's possible I'm just having strange luck, or the world's edge has different growth, etc...nor have I seen any such announcements, not that every change is posted.

Its pretty common on heath and pretty rare on grassland, i`ll go for strange luck.
