Cave Dwellers...?

I've noticed few caves etched in the sides of cliffs... all claimed

Anyway, are the caves already existent so that I need to look for cliffs on the mini-map and check them to find one, or are the entrances man-made? Is there a good way to find one?

Also... what is the relationship between caves and mines, and what role does the rustroot extract play? Can mines be opened up inside and outside of caves? Does the rustroot look for mines both inside and outside of caves? etc.

You can find caves randomly in cliffs, they are not manmade,
When it comes to mines you can basicaly find them everywhere, you can use that rustroot extract to prospect outside and inside of caves(it will not scan caves if you prospect outside of the cave, you have to also check inside), mines tend to apear more ofthen in caves and on mouintains..
If you will be looking for a mine, good luck and dont give up.
Also you can use a cave for chessemaking, and a sort of clay apears there ( I think)
