Re size the IRC client

I got the IRC client and I absolutely love having this game in a more full screen, its easier for me to see everything. ( I wear glasses and some times the tiny screen is hard to see D: ) But when I first ran the IRC client and set the size I sent the height of it to be too long and it cuts off the chat box and I have to hide my taskbar in order for me to do most things in the bottom rows. I tried full screen but it basically said ERP YOU HAVE WINDOWS 7 LOL NO FULL SCREEN FOR YOU! Needless to say I was pretty sad face after that one, but there must be some way of re sizing this, could someone please help me?
