Tools Ect made from different types of metals

Postby serpentyngallery » Thu Jun 17, 2010 4:49 am

The thought just crossed my mind, has anyone out there tried making things like metal plows ect from different types of metal to see how long they can go before needing repair, or, similarly, if making an anvil from steel has any effect on the smithing that's done on it outside of it's quality modifier? Thought that I would throw that out there, before I go wasting supplies.

It 'seems' that charcoal works better than blocks of wood for quality for example.

I'm not sure how this works in built objects, but it would indeed be nice to see done.

The only different really is the quality of the metal. Some metals are easier to make of higher quality than others.

The reason why charcoal seems to be better is because it is easier to boost its quality using high Q board mde from high Q saw as fuel which is better than branches if your saw quality is higher than your trees.
