Map Question & finding Gauze

I'm new to the game, and Im wondering how i go about finding myself on the map?
And how i find gauze, i know, where it comes from but its getting it is the problem, Ive used a leech but im low so anything else might kill me rather than help.

if you have enough perception*exploration you can see fourleave clovers on grasslands.
you can use them to feed a wild sheep, so that it is willing to let you shear it

you probably wont find yourself on the map as it rather gigantic, and i dont think the whole thing has been mapped yet.

4-leaf clovers are found on grassland with an exploration lvl of roughly 20 (somone correct me if this is wrong)

once you have one left click it to pick it up, then right click it on a sheep, you can then right click the sheep to get some wool (make sure you have an axe with)

this works with cows aswell to get milk (you must have a bucket to keep the milk in)
