My mine is being stolen

Postby livercat » Thu Jun 17, 2010 9:01 pm

Hello, i need some advice and help in recovering my mine. Here's the story.

I've found a copper mine in far southern SG. I claimed land around it and moved to another place nearby with good water. For some time i returned to mine to dig some copper for basic items. But today i've found that the mine was palisaded, village claim is being constructed nearby and my claim has shit-ton of scents (from trespassing to theft and vandalism). I spotted someone near mine, but he quickly logged out.
I tracked his hearth fire, but it's behind palisade so i can't summon him.
I know it was stupid not to build palisade by myself, but doh, too late for wistful thinking.

What can i do now?

You can't destroy claims as far as I know, once you put down a section of that palisade, you can easily kill him.

you just need 3 more or less strong people and 24 hours to dry the ram...

On your village's territory, you can remove any claim with authority cost. That's why they started building a village.
Also, my STR is like 15... Not enough for ram.
also, do i need rage to kill summoned people? i've got rather new character :(

To clarify situation, screenshot. My claim is blue, theirs red. Village is being built little further to the right.

Start sealing off the parts of his palisade that arnt on his land then start building one of your own if possible. Good luck mate, I know how frustrating mines can be

What does "sealing off" mean?

Basic griefing 101: extend from the cornerpost if they are not sealed and close the gates so they can't enter/leave through them.

if u have carpentry(ability to make palasides) then right click on his wooden corner post and select the option "seal" this will prevent him from shooting off any other walls from that corner post.

well m8, u learned fist hand why peeps tell peeps to make a palaside first before you do Anything.

When i found my tin mine, the very first thing i did was make the claim around it, then i built my palaside. Seriously, i had one block in the mine construction so i wouldn't lose the area(and others couldnt rustroot it) and then made my palaside.

goodluck in ur endevors.

Sadly, corner post is near gully edge, so i can't extend from there. i guess i could build another wall right in front of theirs to block gates.
