How do I find clay? I realize this is probably obvious, but I'm stumped. Also I need a more elaborate explianation for divining for water. Also, farming

Clay: In the menu, click 'adventure' and then 'dig for clay'. Click any grass or forest tile. Just be aware that people will be upset if you dig up forest tiles. Alternatively, if you go to a mud field there are Clay Pits that you can get clay from much faster.

Thank you, also how do I divine for water and plant seeds?

Planting:
1. Plow a tile of land.
2. Locate seeds.
3. Hold seeds on your mouse cursor.
4. Right-click on the plowed land.

To find a suitable location for a well.
1. Create a "Divining Rod" (1 dream, 2 branches)
2. Wield the diving rod, it takes both hand slots.
3. Every now and then, the rod will send out a pulse, and a small wedge that points to a well location.
4. Follow the wedge until you find a tile of land with light blue coloring, that is a suitable place for a well.

You can use a bucket on a well or an open water source to get water.

You can't drink water. To light a kiln, pick branches, then go to the kiln, left click the branch in your inventory, right click the kiln to put it in as fuel. Hold shift while right clicking if you have many branches. Then once you are done fueling it, right click the kiln again to open it and click 'light'.

Further on that, the only two things in the game you can currently drink are wine and tea. So no water and no milk either, they are just used as components to other recipe's.

You can fuel things with more than just branches, however branches are the best option because they're effectively an infinite resource

how long does grass take to regrow on clay tiles?

Grass never regrows on clay tiles on its own. To do that, you'll need to use the Adventure Menu, Landscaping, Plant Grass (hotkey a -> n -> g) with a seed in your inventory then click the tile you wish to make grass.
