The world that was first generated was 5 x 5 supergrids. Each super grid has its own network of lakes and rivers, a central deciduous tree zone and an outer coniferous tree zone. The super grids all have coniferous tree borders so to get from one to another you always have to do some walking.
The world is now larger than 5 X 5 and might be 7 x 7. I don't know if all the grids have been generated yet, or if any new extra grids have been tacked on anywhere. It can take you more than eight hours of travel to get to the edge of the world, depending on where you start and which way you go.
If you want to find the end of the world just start traveling as straight as you can and keep going until you hit an invisible wall. The outer rim of the world has an invisible wall to keep you from walking over the edge and falling off. Animals can cross this but you can't.
To find out where you are ask anyone you meet what grid you are in. The original 25 grids were labeled A1 to E5 which makes C3 the center of the world. You can also try finding landmarks to match to the Haven tk map.
