Clearcut Island

Postby DeliciousDeath » Mon Jun 21, 2010 3:51 am

What is the best way for a noob to survive and get experience when there are no branches available? What I've read says to gather branches and make baskets or fires or a lean to, but I need another option.

I'm on a fairly large island that is covered in stumps and logs. One portion of it is muzzy mauve and I sink right in so I think it is a marsh, the rest of it I guess was a forest. It looks like there are hundreds of logs. It also has wild boars and they seem quite dangerous but don't notice me if I stand behind a stump.

Also, how do I find food here?

Thanks for any answers

Edit: There is also a bear on this island. I just saw it.

I'd suggest you find a way off the island or start a new character. Living on a clear cut island sucks. You need a stone axe and you can't make it without branches. You can turn blocks into branches but you need a stone axe to do it. Soo your pretty much screwed without at least one branch to get you started.

No tree's ... that sucks.
Unless that character is rescued from that place ... that character is only good for feeding the animals. (character suicide by boar/bear)

(a time locked "delete character" might be useful for dead ends like this. Among others. (full deleted I would think))
