Chickens?

What do I do with chickens? I found one and caught it. Is there a coop or something I can put it in?

EDIT 1: It's a chick...

Yeah, you can put chickens in coops (requires Animal Husbandry, I think), and they'll lay eggs. Hatch these eggs to get higher quality chickens, and then have them lay even higher quality eggs. Coop requires straw, though, so you'll need to find wheat before you build it. Chickens out of coop will starve in two days, so you best just eat these. Easy enough to find new ones when you build a coop.

I found what looks like wheat in the praries, but I can't do anything with it.

Where would I find wheat?
