Ants keep beating my ass

Hi

I'm trying to get some perception gains so I've read that raiding ant hills is a good thing to do.

I took unarmed combat but haven't put any points into it yet. Every time I try to punch an ant to death it just destroys me.

How much does my unarmed combat skill need to be before I can kill a freakin ant?

tbh it's not even about getting the ant queen anymore, I just want to massacre some ants because they keep knocking me out.

It is not an ant at a time, it's whole bunch of them, and they are pissed off. Try 20 unarmed or melee and wear some armor.

Or next character, don't buy Hunting Until you need to... (or make an alt that can pick up those 4 rabbits)
Without Hunting you can Raid an Ant Hill for free. Just need Foraging...

Just don't raid the anthill, but attack the ants directly and you can fight them one at a time.

I tried to address this: "before I can kill a freakin ant?" Those 3 walking around aren't 3 ants, they are 3 'bunches' of ants, so it is harder than "why the fuck is a silly little ant whipping my ass?"

yes I'm aware that its not just one ant....kinda obvious from the squirming mass of brown horror that you see moving around
