so started to wonder how this rings works, once you are out of stamina you drown, so this ring will prevent you from drowning, then what ? you regain all of your stamina or just stay there and its most likely that you are gonna drown again anyway ?

No. It's specifically for swimming. Bears don't drown you. Drowning requires water. I've not used one, as I have no desire to buy swimming just to test it, but I'd imagine you'd "black out" and awaken at your hearthfire. Would be fairly pointless to leave you there to drown anyways the next time you move.
