....give gate keys to more than one person

Postby Krusty81 » Sun Jun 27, 2010 12:29 am

If i create a lockable gate, can i give a key to more than one person? So for example, if i want 2 or more people to have access to a gated area, is it possible to give them all a key?

To copy a key you must have the clay and the nugget that is wrought iron. With the clay you make the key mold and then you may make as many copies as you have the nuggets of wrought iron. Any variety of the clay will do, the same as you would make the brick out of.

But it is the very dangerous thing to hand out the keys. Some villagers forget to close the gate, another one puts down his key before he logs out and it is stolen, a third is murdered in front of the pallisade and the key is taken from his carcass by the murderer who uses it to come inside and slaughter everyone he finds.

Therefore if it is at all possible make the way out of the pallisade to be the village crossroad and the way in to be either the idol or the hearth fire. This is the greatest reason to found a village, so that you may have the crossroads and not be in as much danger of the raiders to get in.
