Tutorial: Putting you player icons into your signature

1: Log into the site, if you haven't already.
2: Go to the "Account" page, as circled in red.
Image
3: Find the "characters" portion of the page near the bottom.
Image
4: Right click your character's icon, as circled in blue.
5: Chose "copy image url", or the equivalent option for your browser.
Image
6: Next, go to the forum, as circled in red.
7: Next, click profile, just right to the wrongly placed blue circle. :?
8: Chose the profile tab, as circled in green.
9: Go to the edit signature page, as circled in yellow.
10: Insert image tags, as circled in pink.
11: Paste the image url for your player icon between the tags.
12: Hit save, as circled in black.

Now you have your player in your signature for all to see! Note: This sadly doesn't work for your avatar, as it doesn't recognize the link as an image. You can always upload your player icon to the forum, but then you need to update it every time the player icon changes, instead of having the changes automatically happen.

Haha! Clever one! :D

I'm afraid that I'll have to inform you that it doesn't work quite as well as you'd expect, though. The avatar renderer limits access to avatars to people who are not logged in as the owner of the character in question. I assumed that people would want their avatars protected, but I don't know. Comments on that?

I have previously thought about integrating it with the forums more explicitly, though, so that the forum can (on request, that is) import an avatar from the game and use it as the forum avatar. It could be a cool way to show off epic gear. :)

No dynamic avatar then, but you can still simply printscreen the game.
The ones who see things differently.

You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them.
And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.

You can get the image, it just doesn't show up for others.

You could get a dynamic one if you had a script on a server that automatically logged on, retrieved the picture, then ruterned the retrieved picture, but I doubt anyone would do that...
