Chance for pearl

I see it is low... very low, somebody know certain numbers?
I've eat more tan 100 mussels and didn't find any...

I found 1 from ~150, my friend found 4 from 200.
All in all seems like 1%.

It's all luck... I've gone through 500+ mussels and still counting without any pearl.

I initially got lucky and found a pearl in my first 50 tries. But I've cooked double that amount since then, and found nothing.
