PvP, how long before you can do it?

Postby footwo » Fri Jul 02, 2010 3:00 pm

Could anyone tell me the average amount of time you need to have been playing for before you're in a position to do some pvp?

I realise that's not any easy question but just some ballpark info would be good.

I've got a small farm going now and whilst its mainly low quality stuff its made me self sufficient for food so I want to try some combat.

Any advice is appreciated!

it's not so much time as how much you dump into melee/unarmed

I was going for unarmed so I can hunt animals but I wanted to.get a decent camp set up first. How much do you need to put in to make it worthwhile for pvp?

Also, keep in mind that there is permadeath in this game so pvp has more meaning in this game. You don't just decide that you feel like doing some killing and wander off and attack the first person you see. Maybe play wow or somehting if you are looking for mindless combat.

You're ready for PvP right now or never, depending on who you fight. And since you can't tell how strong somebody is, randomly attacking people is a bad idea. Try sparring with friends instead.

I'm fine with that. I used to play UO a long time ago, back when death in mmo's had consequences :)
