Do you need a rooster in a coop for hens to lay eggs?

1 rooster, the rest can be chickens.

Actually, you don't need a rooster, the eggs just won't be fertilized (ie won't hatch). But I doubt you could fit more chickens without a rooster then you can with the rooster in that setup. I won't say it's impossible, though, because I haven't tried.
