Damage numbers

Two numbers appear when I hit something with a sling. Which determines how soon the creature will die? The combat explanation, as far as I can tell, is lacking this information.

you will se 2 numbers, Red = SHP (soft hit points) and yellow=hhp (hard hit points ) animals dont have hhp, you will se the number but it does nothing, you you want to do a high red number, only players have hhp, if you lose as a player lose all your shp, you get knocked down and all the shp damage you recieve will be hhp instead, if you lose all of your hhp , you die.

you health bar should say something like 100/100/100 SHP/HHP/MHP ( max health points, this is common sense )

yeah I already knew how player HP works.

So my next question is: are the equations for finding a foxes HP on the wiki correct? It says their HP should be level*20, and by keeping track of the red numbers that show up, I should have killed this fox by now (pretty sure I've done over 200 dmg)

no, a lot of the info in the wiki is outdated, you can find symple stuff, the complex dont even bother, most of it is wrong.

Foxes have at least 250 HP, I don't know when it was changed or whether it was always like this.

I can't kill them with 212 damage, but I can with 300, so they either have 300 HP (more likely) or 250.
