Questions about Quality

Hello all!

1. Lets say I plant seeds QL10...so when I pick up new seeds from that plant they would be 10+-5 OR does any skill have impact on this?
2. I had 5 strings QL 7,8,8,8,9 and i created Sling, BUT its quality was only 5? So skill have BIG impact on this?

If your skill is less than the quality of materials, the resulting quality will be the average of your skill and the materials' q. Not the skill above material quality doesn't raise quality of product. Some skills also require a stat (cooking takes per, for example), in which case their value is averaged geometrically (sqrt(per*cooking) for cooking).

Farming, unsurprisingly, depends on the farming skill.

ok so average of materials was 8 and product was 5, my survival skill (needed for sling) is 2 or 3 so 10/2 = 5 OR 11/2 = 5.5 so it makes sense

but I read that when u plant seeds QL 10 then when u harvest u get 10+/-5 seeds... but obvious there is farming skill which have something to do with this too...so someone knows how it impacts on this?

Farming acts as a hardcap on the quality of harvested goods. Yes, the harvested seed will be ±5 of the planted seed, but the harvested quality won't go above Farming+2/3.
