What level exploration do i need to obtain the thing to dry on the herbalist table to get seeds, and how many seeds will i obtain? and which is a good way to get alot of seeds fast (for crops?)

Easiest way to get seeds would be to find an abandoned farm (make sure it is really abandoned, as in, decaying badly).

K, and do towns trade seeds? i havnt really been to one and what do you rekon theyll trade for?

Most towns will trade items for bricks, but its hard finding a town if you spawned in some remote area.

The easiest way is to find a boat someone else built, sail around and and loot unclaimed plots for their stuff.
