a lot of peeps talk on the haven world chat about being able to block off caves and using cliffes as natural walls. is that true? i thought you couldnt use em cause no matter how close you tried to get it close to the wall, it wasnt possible.

any of you know for sure?

It's possible from certain angles. I don't know which. I just circled the entire ridge with walls, much less hassle. :P

Depends on the ridge; south/east facing ridges have different bounding boxes than north/east facing ridges; also consider corners. Plow+pave a tile, place a palisade construction post on it, then try to squeeze past it. Using ridges as walls is most definitely possible if you're smart enough to test the ground and plan ahead.
