Round-pole Fence Question

Postby Gromit » Wed Jul 07, 2010 12:43 pm

How easly are they destroyed by someone else? and how would they go about destroying them? (do people take the time to destroy your round-pole fence to get to unprotected crops out of your claim? is it worth it?)

They're piss easy to destroy, but if they're on a claim it requires Vandalism. Then again, so does harvesting crops.

But you really should build a palisade.

Grow all crops, of course. You should find a balance where your stock almost runs out when the next harvest is ready, so you harvest as often as possible and thus raise quality faster.

And 10 bunnies can't be all that hard to find. Or dead large animals, I swear I can't walk two minimaps these days without tripping over a boar corpse.

Wheat for lp and punpkin pie
flax a bit until you can get hemp for the fibres, hemp > flax in every way
grapes for wine and vinegar (for cheese)
pumpkins to put into troughs
try to get carrots for perception

Looking for clay should be your first priority then. Can't do much without a cauldron.

How is flax any worse than hemp? quality or just the buds?

Flax appears to grow slightly slower, and it's not as cool as hemp because of the double possiblity of buds. If you're going to push quality on it, I'd just go with hemp since it's dual function.
