grr @ taming

RAMS
i have the required stats for it but the method is so fucking annoying!... I start by gaining 34 points followed by 4 side-steps, consume in flames and then i use quell but it NEVER hits anymore? insted the enemy always hits me and gains 1 points in the circle in the top middle of the screen... So i tried with 50 points and it is still fucking hitting me befor i can quell it making me use consume in flames to reduce it to 0... is there another way thats fucking easier?

note: what the fuck is so different from yesterday when i attempted it? it worked 1 shot without failing.. except when i got to 80 tame points i ran out of armor =X

note note: can i tame it while keeping it penned up, so it doesnt hit me?

Boars?

Instead of using consume the flames since you have so much IP, please use sting like a bee to save your SHP.

After using sting lik e abee, run away until your cooldown is gone, turn around real fast and quell it.

@note - nothing I know of

@note note - Yes, but if it's a boar it might not re-aggro you

Set 'em up separately and they may take quite some time to re-aggro, make sure you don't attack them before they attack you.

Read carefully over the Overview of Taming thread, scroll down the page and read the comment on being able to do it with 20 IP, and you shouldn't have a problem, just remember to use the corner of the fence and keep the ones you want tamed separate from the rest.

Don't let it run out to you, set it up so that a diagonal edge is left out, for example:

Code: Select all
XX-
XRX
XXX

R is the Mouflon, X is Construction Signs for fires, - is blank

You can approach properly through the empty spot and hit him, he can also hit you, so only move forward into it to attack, then back out during your cooldown. Doing this, you won't get hit, your stats also won't matter as long as you have the skills to do it.

You have to let it re-aggro you. When you originally quell it "you see the 20" the image of the mouflon is removed from your screen. When it re-aggros you, the image will re-appear. don't attack it before this or you can't quell it, and you'll have to kill it, logging in/out won't work, just kill it and move on.

Should be under Moves, maybe under Special Moves... requires Tales by the Hearth
