Stake Claim

Is it possible to have 2 stake claims? Because I want to create another territory closer to the forest.

No, you can only have one claim. You can declaim your claim if you want to move it though.

Edit: Ignore me, do what Sabinati said.

Would carpentry raise the amount of LP I earn from buckets?

There are quite some people who - in case they see you cutting down forrests to leave buckets behind - will cut you down.

For good. And with reason. And they are right in doing so.

Maybe do something that actually makes sense, then you'll get enough LP to progress.

Clearcutting a leaving behind stuff isn't good, but it's stupid to kill somebody over it. The items will disapear, and they can remove the stumps for extra LP. The world is huge, and it's not like there are a lot of people playing it in relation to the size. There is no need to be a vigilante and kill somebody who's new to the game for cutting down trees and crafting things, which is really the ONLY way to get LP until you get a decent skill like farming.

You can grind looms without cutting down trees. You can get basic mechanics by building a log house you can use later, along with some cupboards, crates and stuff like that which will be useful later on. So no, there's no excuse to clearcut for LP, and I'll turn anyone I catch doing it into LP.

how to get LP as a noob:

gather branches, build campfires, light them.
buy foraging, 5 points in exploration.
walk around and pick stuff off the ground for LP.

this accomplishes the dual purpose of familiarizing you with your area and getting you some food/string and lp. the first few days are just killing time to get to full peace/change anyway.
