Shovels

I noticed there is a shovel in the metalworking section. I couldn't find it on the wiki. I imagine it makes you dig faster, but I would like some sort of confirmation as to it's exact purpose before I waste metal making one.

It's like a pickaxe for digging, though it was posted in the announcement thread when it was added that it only counts towards digging clay. This may or may not be true. I have however used mine to dig clay. While the boost to speed of collection is not as significant as the pickaxe, since it's already much faster, the stamina cost is greatly reduced.
