Swimming

Postby Ninijutsu » Tue Jul 13, 2010 7:23 am

I know buying the swimming skill is looked at to be the equivalent of shoving a sword through your stomach, but I figured if someone had high enough CON, it could actually be useful, as long as they're careful with it.

Is 50 con enough to survive in deep water for at least 5 seconds?

I'd say NO. The minimum is 60 and at that its BARELY recommended. If you try now, you'll more then likely suicide. Build a boat, either that or risk your life.

If you have no experience with swimming, you are going to find your toon dead in 2 ticks and a butt fuck with 50 or 60 con... do not fuck with swimming if you don't know what you are doing.

For anyone who wants to try swimming for the 1st time, do NOT do it with <120 con, I tell you this from experience, you WILL get lag fucked.

Is there a formula for Swimming and how much CON you need? For example an 8 tile river, how much would I need? Is it by tile, by seconds?

I want to start swimming soon, but there's little information on the matter.

(I want to make sure I have at least 50~100 more CON than I need before I go trying anything, and I'll probably also wear ferry rings just in case  )

I had 140 con the first time I decided to swim, I crossed a ~15-18 tile river and had 36% stamina left when I hit the opposite shore.
