1. Yes and no, there are coins, no one uses them. Everything is barter.

2. You need the skill Hunting.
3. There are "Vending Stands" setup by players, other than that, no.
4. You find them by getting Foraging, pumping a bit of exploration and/or perception and finding Wild Windsown Weeds
5. Get Foraging, find Spindly Taproot or Stinging Nettle. Nettle cannot be used for fishing lines.
