A question for veteran players

When a new world is deployed - and with all the talk about the new map generator we are definitely getting a new world some time in the future probably maybe - does anything from the old world get carried over?

it depends.

from 1st to 2nd world, everyone kept their characters, but no inventory items. the map was completely new.

from 2nd to 3rd world, nothing carried over.

i wouldn't expect a reset anytime soon though.

Having to work your way up again can actually be quite fun. I think both of the world endings were generally supported by the veteran players.

Future resets will in all likelihood be complete and total.

i think there should be an advantage between an old player from the old world and a new player.
Maybe not in skills or power but atleast visually

The same comment could be made about life in general.

EDIT: Oh, and did I mention this is a self-described alpha?

Do capes carry over? I'm generally for a total reset, but I just got my cape
