I see this from time to time; I'm not sure just why it happens, but I think it's because the JOGL download doesn't finish property, and the JNLP client doesn't detect that properly (which is weird).

It usually helps to clear Java's tempfiles and try again.

I have this on (shipped with Fedora 13) OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea6 1.8).
On Sun Java game runs OK.

Well, for the record, I have no problems running the client with OpenJDK. Therefore, I'd still guess that the download just happened to fail when you used OpenJDK, and happened to succeed when you used Sun's Java.

I had the same problem when I tried to run the actual client, not using the .jnlp.

there's instructions for JOGL there, it worked for me. I'm on Win7 64bit but theres instructions for linux too.

i have 32 bit and also im new to linux only had it for about a week.
