Cost of revoking claims, and regarding village idols

Postby Tetriando » Sat Jul 17, 2010 9:23 am

There's an abandoned mine near my settlement on a village and personal claim. The village claim is almost dead, as I can take things from the land without the theft skill. My plan is to destroy the village idol once it runs out of authority and plop down my own village, then revoke the personal claim on the mine. Also, I am positive the place is abandoned, as there are huge gaping holes in the palisade and everything is in decay.

My question is, how much authority does it cost to revoke one tile of a claim? A forum search revealed the number to be 250 per tile, but some verification on this number would be nice. The claim in question is about 30x40.

Also, how hard is it to destroy a village idol? Is it possible to use a battering ram to destroy one?

You can destroy an idol which has run out of auth with some str, a pickaxe and some way to replenish stamina.

Other option is to hope that there is no lawspeaker in the village, then you can claim that position (in case you have lawspeaking) when auth ran out.

No idea about the exact authority cost, but after removing a claim (not that big) some time ago i had to quickly grind 1/2 million auth to get the village back into the green...
