Thief in village - how to see who he is?

Hey guys,

First I'd like to appologise if this has already been posted and explained, but due to so much lag I barely could even open this new thread.

I'm asking, if I have skills like Yeomany so I have my area "protected" + I have Ranging (sorry if i missed skill name) skill which allows me to track down thieves on my territory,...

how do I find the thief?

Example: Today at 20:35 CET I loged in and saw dude stealing leather from our land. I asked him if he wants anything and same moment he teleported probably back to his heart fire with our leather. Last time he was also here and was kinda friendly, said hes Jacque or whatever from Poland and again dissapeared.

How can I track him down?

then walk into vision of where he stole something you'll see a 'Scent', you can use this to track them.

I did this first, but maybe too late, since he was stealing yesterday and I did this only today in the morning.

Didn't find anything, but thanks for explaining, I'll do it faster next time.

He's spoken to you before? I'd give him a chance to explain himself before getting murderous at least for that, but then again I'm a total sucker and don't know much about pvp besides. I guess he might take advantage of you giving him the benefit of the doubt to gear up and kill you back or something. What a cruel wilderness~
