Candle question

A friend is curious, do candles last longer than campfires? I'd kind of like to know too.

I'd try if i actually knew how to make them. I can't find the craft for wax..
The ones who see things differently.

You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them.

Yes, they do: a camp fire lasts one in-game hour, while a candelabrum with a candle lasts 12 in-game hours.

I thought I should post here instead of making a new thread because my question is about candles.

How do I get a candle on my miners hat like in the video? Is it a different hat?

Just take the candle and right-click with it on the miner's helm. Then you can right-click the (now candle-equipped) helm and click "Light".

The wax comes from harvesting bee hives.

How long does it take for wax/honey to be harvestable from the hive? I'm sure the crashes have made it seem longer, but I've been watching my hive for hours with nothing.

The more wheat you plant in their area of effect the more output they produce. Right click to harvest wax, right click with a bucket to harvest honey. Presence of Honey is indicated by animation.
