Multiple Questions

Postby tyleroliver1 » Tue Jul 20, 2010 1:50 am

Hey I started 2 or 3 days ago and I have caught on pretty well, I have started a big settlement with 3 of my friends, we have houses and our own claims, etc.

I always read posts for trading and such just to hear about new items, and they talk about meeting up in places like, "New Brodgar", and how can I find other peoples villages, and is there a world map?

Also, what is IRC, and what do people mean they ask what "grid" someone is in.

Thanks.

Constantinople is a village in the center of the world that is commonly used as a center for trade due to its location. That's not to say it's "close" to everyone; people near the edges of the world will still be traveling for 5+ hours by foot/wagon/boat to get there. I haven't heard about much trade occurring at New Brodgar recently.

"Grid" is short for Super grid, which is part of the coordinate system that makes up the world. The current world is a 9x9 matrix of super grids, each made up of a 2x2 matrix of region grids, which are made of 5x5 local grids, which are made up of 5x5 mini maps, which are 100x100 tiles.

IRC is what we use for global chat. get a standalone irc client or use the irc enabled game client, log on to irc.synirc.net and join the channel #haven
