Screen Resolution

Postby nitro2030ce » Wed Jul 21, 2010 2:25 am

Is it possible to force a resolution lower than 800x600? I have an older netbook (Linux) and I KNOW the game is playable, but the screen resolution is 800x400 so the game interface gets cut off. If this is not possible why is it locked down to 800x600?

I'm not sure, but I think Pacho's client can handle that: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2965

Oh I forgot to mention, I already use Pacho's client. I'm doubting there's a way.

800x600 is already to small to really play (that is the main reason for Pacho's client being that popular), you also need hardware acceleratted graphics to get reasonable performance in whatever resolution you run. So i would guess that you're out of luck with the old netbook.

It is hardware accelerated, it's playable. However it's just the screen that is too small.

Pacho's client is a hack of the original one, which - for whatever reason - is fixed to 800x600.

In case your machine supports hardware accelerated graphics: try to connect an external monitor able to run 800x600 or more.
