Village Claim and Personal Claim Issues?

Postby Drucian » Thu Jul 22, 2010 10:02 pm

I know that a Village Claim can revoke and remove any personal claim within it's area, however couldn't this just be abused? I believe I saw this happen as well.

A location has had a personal claim around it for awhile owned by someone obviously while some people had just recently built a village claim close enough where it would extend over the personal claim. I believe they removed the personal claim (I know it's not any of theirs for a fact.) out of their village claim, causing the victim to lose their personal claim.

So anyone with the materials and the LP could just go around removing claims in order to access without scent marks being left. Is this really intended?

Its pretty fair on V.Claims work

Balanced for some of the reasons i can think of...
A) The P.Claim is huge and requires more authority than the idol begins with 125k/250k is starting amount.
B) Unless you live near by or on river, getting materials together to build v.claim in 1 shot isn't easy. (Or have many people with the materials with you)
D) If person's claim doesn't extend over the fence and or you cannot "stand" on his claim, you will not be able to revoke it. You must be STANDING on his P.claim to use revoke powers
E) V.Claims can be destroyed with enough strength and power.
F) Most likly you will probably get murdered or kill if you tried to do this to someone who has been established in that area for a while...

Also i would think if someone is living as a hermit is in your way of village expansion, he probably would consider moving or joining the village to help give you authority but not be part of the village in exchange for leaving him alone.

Anyways... Village Claims are good for removing p.claims of inactive players... i had to do it over a mine that was inactive.

From a certain size of personal claim it's quite impossible to remove it.
B) Unless you live near by or on river, getting materials together to build v.claim in 1 shot isn't easy. (Or have many people with the materials with you)
All materials needed for a village idol (apart from wood and stones) nicely fits into a boat.
D) If person's claim doesn't extend over the fence and or you cannot "stand" on his claim, you will not be able to revoke it. You must be STANDING on his P.claim to use revoke powers
Do you really need to stand on the claim? I was under the impression that you just have to see the stake.
E) V.Claims can be destroyed with enough strength and power.
In case you manage to reach them.
F) Most likly you will probably get murdered or kill if you tried to do this to someone who has been established in that area for a while...
That depends on the time you need to pull it (dropping village, removing claim, walling it in) off. Can be done within a few hours (this includes walling in a reasonable large area).

But personal should have at least a palisade anyway, so you have to invade.
