Simple yes/no question about livestock

I know that livestock "telefeed" through walls, but does mating work the same way? In other words, should I keep my males and females a large distance apart, or is a roundpole fence dividing the two good enough?

On a related note, don't even stroll with a leashed bull through a pen with cows you don't want him to impregnate. I passed through one of mine cause the main door to the one I was going to was blocked by other animals and my crazy bull started humping a cow as if I had unleashed him...horny fucker
