hermit community

we are building a city, but everyone can do what they want, so basicaly living like a hermit but with benefits of a city.
we came up with the idea of making one "community area" in the middle with stuff like high q cauldrons, oven etc..that everybody uses, this is where well have a village idol. and around that everyone will have their personal claim. (and be able to extend as much as they want in one direction) we will also share all q spots and mines if we get some. the only thing will be that everyone has to contribute something or help out other players.
this way everyone can continue their hermit lifestyle, but will have some company around and advantages like more q spots and mines. and give other people seeds or animals your sorting out etc..
everyone is welcome to join, just dont be a troublemaker, because if you commit crimes the whole community has to pay for it. if your new to the game or a veteran doesnt matter, you just have to be able to check the wikia and forums for information.

I'm interested in this kind of village too . I'm a newbie to the game but I play with the wiki and the forum open so I can search things by myself. My timezone is GMT -6 and I'm pretty active

Having villagers being able to do what they want doesnt work out, because they will want free food and other items, and do nothing in return.

This can work Thijssnl, especially if they have a spot to put their own trade stands up for them to each add their wares and top up from other people. Best advice I can give you stonedrydar is that you make a Forums for your community to use (Both Proboards and Invisionfree are good and free) That way you can set up trades vire posts as well as organise community advents and get a feeling of solidarity in your group.
