Inter-village Roadbuilder for Hire

Postby Kodran » Wed Apr 27, 2011 2:09 am

I'm brand new to W5, but I've played since W3. I live in the USA (timezone is GMT -7).

My goal is to build a Highway connecting two large villages/settlements. If you live in a large village, and would like to sponsor me (food and basic supplies), then please PM me your HS and tell me about your situation.

If things go well, then I will continue to network villages and improve trade routes.

Don't most villages use crossroads instead of roads?

AFAIK, you can't take carts or wagons on crossroads.

You can't take those through rivers either, so unless the 2 villages are on the same "island", crossroads seem like the best choice.

Do rivers cross supergrid borders/edges in W5? If not, then lots of places are connected by land.

So I didn't know this, but apparently you can have an alt character that doesn't have a HF teleport unlimited distances. And they can carry a boat with 2 large chests as they teleport from village to village. I feel like Bowler Hat Guy... I'm just not so sure how well this plan was thought through.

Crossroads are superior yes, but there are also benefits to these things.

I'll send you a PM tomorrow about something. :)

Maybe just join a village as a constructor/ road builder and have the large road as a side project.
