Looking for some people to join my village

Postby MrBunzy » Wed Jun 15, 2011 3:49 am

Hello, due to some unfortunate circumstances involving all the other villagers getting bored and going inactive/ being stupid and getting killed, it seems that I have become the only member of a small, undeveloped village. I've decided that, with all the work me and the other villagers put into building it, it would be a waste to just pack up and join some other village or become a hermit, and therefore i'm looking for some people to help me finish building it and settle there.

What i have to offer:

-a brickwall
-19x19 plots for people to settle on
-plenty of tools/seeds/gear you may need to get started
-a large village farm
-an iron, copper and tin mine
-some low/medium q resource nodes

What i'm looking for
I don't care about experience, just looking for some active players to keep me company
Any profession is fine.

Thanks for reading, if you are interested in joining please PM me and/or post in this thread with some information about you and your experiences in h&h. I'll try to respond as soon as I can.

What timezone are you in/looking for people to be in?

EDIT: Also what are the advantages of being in a village over my current situation? (I live in a four man commune [basically a socialist mini-village] where I act as the farmer)

I'm in eastern standard time.

As for the advantages of being in a village, theres a village chat and crossroads can be useful, if thats what you mean.

Hey there! I'd love to join your village, here's why:

Pros:
I don't mind working, and can help a lot.
I am able to do a lot of professions, except things like farming, mining, etc.
I can be online for at least 2-3 hours a day.
The last thing I do is go inactive.
I don't mind not having my own house or property.
I am able to work in a group.
Cons:
I can be impatient. (at times)
I'd have to start a new character.
I probably won't be able to download any mods.
Preferences
The thing I would like to do most is be a hunter.

And that's pretty much it. =D

How much farming skill would be needed to qualify for farming?

I think some of the seeds go up to around q50, but i'm not really concerned with getting max quality crops right now, so i'm sure whatever you have is enough.

I'm pretty new to the game, and I was hoping you would give me a shot despite the fact that I have low skills. Until I gain the skills needed to be honestly useful I could gather wood, stone, food from trees, etc. I'm 17 and in the central Us time zone, the same one I believe as the person above me, and my next goal is to learn the farming skill so I can start working on plants and what not. I have foraging and plant lore, I just need the LP to learn farming. I would be happy to contribute to a village and while I might not be on every single day, I will be on very often for several hours.

Judging by your join date, i'd say you should try out the game as a hermit for a while and get the hang of things before looking for a village. I'd rather not take in a one day old character, but once you have the basic skills and such I wouldnt mind letting you join.
