Hello dear hearthlings.
Tl, dr: Newbie wants on walled village. - just in case you get bored of banter.
I've been playing for a while now, with my second character but I've kept hitting speed bumps on my progress. Learned the bad way to get a proper client to warn me of boars and bears, may my first character short life be forgotten. Still, that is not my problem. My main issue in the game is I'm completely alone, and I can't bear to play like an hermit. I tend to join MMO's to find someone to talk to while doing other stuff, and I intended to join a villager or other newbies I'd find.
And right now, I literally can't just keep wandering around like an hermit! I was living nearby two villages, three small settlements and the very rare hermit camp. All of them, except for a village called Caffeine, which is the only of two places I ever saw anyone doing anything inside of, either logged out forever, or got mysteriously razed to the ground over the course of two weeks, with no signs of foul scents of any kind as well. I expected at least to see some trespassing, but I guess my perception is too low for tracking or something. It's been three days and I haven't seen a single soul, and before that, it was two days, before passing by someone wearing a pumpkin mask that promptly ran away from me, and eventually tele'd to their hearth.
Look, I've been trying hard to learn this game on my own, but right now, I fear for myself not being walled in. It doesn't seem like anyone's actively killing people around this area, as all bodies I've ever found were either cheap threats probably made with dead alts (which I ignore and explore the area anyways), or had runes besides groups of them with hilarious text such as "Way to annoy the ox, you retard!" or "Here lies X. He died as he lived. Doing nothing worth a damn!". Still, people don't stay around, and so won't I as well. Specially when I've felt the disappointment of having all my belongings stolen more than once before I got a claim. There must be some really desperate people out there to steal my bloated leeches off me, regardless of 3 dragonfIies sharing the same box; I was only using them to heal my HHP, anyways.
Anyways, formalities:
My timezone in GMT+00, I play a random amount of time each day, ranging from 2 hours to 6 hours. Never in the morning, except on weekends. Saturdays are the days I will be on the most as well
I have most of the non-combat skills, or at least, I have more skills than I ever seemed to need. I can track, build houses, carts boats, roads, sew, farm... all that kind of stuff! My stats are still a mess however, as you can see in this picture: http://i55.tinypic.com/2mwdrpy.jpg, but I'm happy to keep them that way until I get a more proper job.
Speaking of which, I'm willing to do any job you require, and will probably build myself based on that. I love to specially go out on the field grab stuff. I more than once grabbed a cart with four empty boxes and went to the beach just to fill it up with sand and clay, or spent half an hour in swamps gathering dragonflies, or brought back barrels full of water. Either ways, I do that a lot, go out to grab stuff that is required, or find WWW's to get new seeds.
I don't really need to say it out loud, but I'm also not very experienced with the game. I can probably tell you how to do the most basic or more interesting stuff, such as leather working or mining, but it doesn't mean I ever done it myself, and I specially won't know what the hell to do if I ever find a Bear Tooth lying on the ground.
The only thing I want from your village is a Wall around a bunch of people. Someone willing to talk, or at least saying what they're going to do, and if they need my help. Wall + People, most villages ought to have that.
Oh, and at least a place to dump stuff I gather when not doing anything better, without caring if to organize it until its off my back. Just two boxes I could partially call "mine", but still free for everyone else to grab stuff from.
Just send me a PM if you you're willing to accept me.
Oh btw, I'm not sure on how people do to reach the villages accepting them since the world is so large.
