Fairly experienced player, looking to join a small village.

Hey.

I'm Mister Tickles. I used to play H&H a while ago, but never really had the opportunity to grow into anything considerable due to my lack of trust and generally constantly spawning near meanies who brought me down. I started over so many time I pretty much lost interest and gave up. I know early-game pretty well by now.

I'd like to give H&H another try, but I'd like to have the opportunity to "skip" early-game. By that I mean, I'd like to find a small (or perhaps not so small?) village that's already well established, preferably with no enemies/hostilities, preferably metal (makes things so much easier!) who have enough patience to give a beginner but not retarded player hints and tips. I mean, I'd say I have ~20 hours under my wing. I know how the basic mechanics work, but I don't know all the ins and outs.

I'm in the Eastern Timezone. I speak English, French, Arabic and basic German.

I don't know what kind of role I want to undertake, probably whatever the village is. I'm a liiiiiiiiittle bit of a loner, but I still participate in helping the village evolve, but I also like to do my own thing a little. I'm an honest and thankful player. What you help me out with, I will remember and eventually pay you back.

If there's anything else you'd like to know, please tell me.

I'm sorry, but I'm not interested in starting over from scratch with someone that's starting over from scratch too. I really want a kick start to get right into the action, I don't want to go through the process of getting resources for walls and looking for a mine and all that jazz. I've done that too much. Hell, it's all I've done. I'd like to explore and enjoy what happens when you're past that point.

Feel free to send me a PM! I'll be waiting. :)

I'm also on the IRC (on synirc.net) as MisterTickles.

sorry, i went afk on IRC for lunch... didnt mean to ignore you.
its not really about the forums being dead, its more about that not many people are interested in taking in new players.
especially when you have played but failed before and want some shortcuts? doesnt sound too promising to accept.
and you didn't even used your old account, but using a new account, nobody can tell how long you have played before and you havent put any details of your experiences either.

I find you a little pessimistic. I'm not sure how it is now, but a few months back, it was extremely hard to play by yourself, especially when you constantly spawned around hostile, bigger villages. A palisade doesn't do much when they have mines and battering rams. The fact I've tried numerous times before giving up doesn't show failure, it shows perseverance.

I'm not using my old account simply because I don't remember its name. It's been too long.

I did put details of my experience.

Did you find a place yet? My village may have room.

Don't take it too hard. The veteran players of this game have gone through *a lot* of hard times. It makes them a little callous to the pains of being a beginner when they've survived so much worse.

Keep looking and you'll find someone to take you in. Also check out the How do I forum for safety tips. A lot of noob deaths come from a lack of knowledge of basic safety practices in this game.
