I am a new player to Haven & Hearth. My daughter has been playing for a while, though. At the time I joined, she had just recently moved her hearthfire because she had been getting griefed pretty hardcore. I figured with the two of us together, we'd have better luck. We've been trying to put together a little area of our own, but recently found that we've started getting griefed in our new area. I have to say, I'm impressed. They were pretty sneaky about it -- we didn't notice it until we went looking for some valuable items and noticed they were missing.
Well, our original plan was to get up to where we could maintain a village between the two of us, but I can see now that it takes a lot more than two people to effectively put together a village. It's slow going, trying to get walls up and expand our settlement. The griefing really sets us back and is frustrating. So we've gone with Plan B -- see if there's anyone who would be willing to take us in, instead. We want to find a place where we can share protection and the fruits of teamwork with a group of other people.
Here's a little bit of information about us:
Amythyst34 (myself)
------------------------
I am 31 years old.
My timezone is US Pacific time.
I log on once a day. Right now I am on leave from work, so I am spending quite a bit of time gaming. When I am working, though, you can expect that I'll be on a few hours each day (more on my days off).
Primary language is English.
I only joined about a week or two ago, but am a VERY quick learner. I've been soaking in as much information from the wiki and these forums as possible. I already know some mistakes I made with my character's development early on, before I knew any better, but am working to remedy that.
My focus has been on fishing, gathering, farming, and cooking.
TsukiStar (my daughter)
-----------------------------
She is 12 years old, but mature for her age.
Her timezone is US Pacific time, of course.
Right now she is on summer vacation, so she spends most of her time on the computer. When she's in school, as long as her homework is done, she spends her free time on the computer. So you can expect her to be on quite often.
Her primary language is English.
She says that she joined sometime around April of this year. Like me, she's not afraid to search the wiki or the forums if she needs information.
Her focus has been on hunting (marksmanship) and farming.
You can PM either one of us. We may not have a lot of experience, but we're hard workers and we're willing to make adjustments where necessary.
