New player looking for village

I am a rather new player that has played for about 4 days, surviving in the woods with a hermit lifestyle, having set up my own little plantation and stuff.
I know how to feed and equip myself to a certain degree, however I have not interacted much with other players (I have only seen two other players in my area, and did not speak with them), and do not know how a village setting is like, but I am willing to learn. Preferably, I would like to be a hunter/forager or a miner/smith in the village.
