start hermiting before you join.
build up more stats to increase likeability of getting recruited.
i didnt see anyone that got recruited in a village day 1 :l.

A few suggetions.

You better join a group of players of the same level if u're tired of playing alone. Big villages dont usually accept new players.
And if you want your topic to be more interesting, give us more info about yourself: age, timezone, experience, what games have u been playing before H&H + your achievements, average online times, etc.
