Might be looking for a village

Hello everyone, I have not been playing very long. I find myself at a rather large barrier I don't seem able to surpass. My first few days in-game I was enjoying myself building and learning the game with a friend. He quit and I have been alone ever since, and it's rather lonely. With nothing but a couple huge towns around me and no one in the world to turn to for advice. I am wondering if perhaps anyone is seeking a person like me, I have barely any recognizable skills. Though I have learned all of this on my own basically with the help of the wiki. I still do not understand how to fight, and I am sort of angry with how I set up my area. It seems that I put it up against a cliff edge, I thought it was clever less walls eh? Well apparently you can't make it to the wall, so I have a opening in my wall that is disheartening. Anyways, I could use some advice or perhaps I can use a new village. Nothing to fancy, and I would like a friendly bunch, not any raiders. I for one would love to learn to fight to help defend wherever I stay. Unfortunately my interest in this game is becoming less and less, please help me keep that interest.
