i really like this, would be cool to set up embassy for other villages to, give them a house with pally and have them set an alt there, perhaps so they could do village to village trade using your establishment as the middle ground...though a smart man could use this for profit

At first when I saw this thread I thought "Department of Homeland Security". Then I thought "They've found me at last!". But then I realized this was for something else. All joking aside, this is a very interesting idea. I look forward to maybe renting a place there some day.

Suggestion if I may. Constantly rebuilding gates sounds rather tedious. Wouldn't it be easier to set up a key holder account and change its PW every 24hrs or so? Its just as secure IMO. Sure, you may have a problem were 2 people try to sign in at the same time, but that IMO is way less troublesome than destroying the gate every few days.

Nice idea though, I hope it happens

Then they take a piece of clay and nugget and quickly make a copy of the key without you even noticing. Even worse they could just log on the keyalt and rush in with mains and kill off all the other occupants and take over most of the place.

And this can't happen under the purposed system?

If he were to break the gate after each occupants stay then no they can't come back one day and use the same key to get into the place again since it'll have a new gate. They also wouldn't be able to get into other occupants palisades since they wouldn't have access to their keys as they would on a master keyalt.

Fair point. His method is slightly more secure, not sure if its worth the tediousness though.
